The Little Make & Takes from Convention

Our M&T's I'm in love with little 3 x 3 note cards quick and simple. This one I learned how to Water Color. I'm more the hands on learner and this was well worth Convention to learn I'll be doing more of it now. These are great for gift giving,6 cards and envelopes together in a little box and VIOLA! Perfect gift for teachers, volunteers etc. Got to love the 3 x 6 you know this was hand made just for you! The new Ribbon used is Fairy Tale. The Gift Card Holder used the Prettiest Kit, we colored the flower using reinker and Aqua Painter and the small blue one was colored using the Stampin' Pastels. The little box was very inspiring, how to use the Chip Board and Circle Punch with Dimensionals to give it depth. I will be using this template at my next Stamp Camp.

Meghan's at it again!

My 11 year old loves to invade my stamp space. This is the second cover that she has made for this assignment book. The first one got marker marks on it. This is my new paper I had only opened it to make some samples for my downline. Does any one else have a little invader? She makes a bigger mess than I do. Deep breath she is being creative!!

What we have been working on.....

I kept my self very busy yesterday cleaning, today I came down to my stamp room to get posts to my blog caught up with current promotions and things Meghan and I have been working on. Today's feels very tranquil compared to yesterday with all the hoopla and fireworks. Visitation for Nick is today from 2:00 to 6:00 we are going later as we are going out to dinner with some other families.

In our Winter Mini Catalog you could buy ON BOARD ATC TRIO ALBUMS. I had to have it for what how knew? Until I attended Convention, I participated in my first swap with the wonderful group of ladies at SUDSOL. The swap was for card fronts and ATC's. I had never done ATC's before so I opted to do just cards, low and behold those wonderful ladies traded both for my card front. I had just the place to put them.

List of Supplies:

On Board ATC Trio Album
Mod Podge & Brush
Cutie Pie Designer Series Paper
Ribbon: Celery, Bashful Blue & Rose & snips
5-Petal Flower Punch
Spring Flower Bouquet

While big brother's away:

Little brother Robert showed his support at the Norther Kentucky Airport on Saturday morning as the procession and Hearst carrying Staff Sgt. Nicholas Carnes passed supporter lined up along the route to the funeral home. He was so proud to be there and when one of Nicks relatives came over and thanked him he was moved. He saluted the Hearst as it passed. This picture was taken my our local channel 9 news team and Robert was on the 12, 6 and 11 O’clock news casts.

Yes, I'm one proud MOM

Here is what I’m most proud of my oldest son Stewart serving in Afghanistan. Pictured here in the “Sand Box”. This past week has been a very tough one for all of us. We lost Staff Sgt. Nicholas Carnes a close friend of my sons serving with him in Afghanistan. Nick was a native of northern Kentucky. He died August 26 during a fire fight in Afghanistan. He was assigned to Battery A, 2nd Battalion, 138th Field Artillery, based in Carrollton, Kentucky. Nick was the second Kentucky Army National Guard soldier killed in Afghanistan.Services for 25-year-old Staff Sergeant Nicholas will be held Tuesday September 4th in Covington at St. Mary's Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption. He will be buried afterward at the Alexandria Cemetery in Alexandria.
I also want to thank all of you that have given me your card fronts and card to send to our Guard unit they do appreciate them.
Please keep our soldier and families in you thoughts and prayers.
