Here is my first creation with my new stuff. This was the only picture that I got to take before my camera died on me. This was the beginning of my making a swap card for a swap that I'm participating in. I like this set and the new colors.

SNEAK PEEK OF THE NEW IN COLORS 08!!!

New In Colors
WOWSERS!!! I LOVE being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator!

You ask WHY?

Because I get to pre-order from a preview of selected new stuff first. So, let me be the first to tell you - the rumors are TRUE!!! All new stamp sets will be DIE CUT!!! How cool is that! There IS a new scallop edge punch. Oh! and so easy to use.

I'm in love with the new In-Colors! I got my hands on them - they arriving while I was on vacation, so stay tuned for lots of samples!!!! My camera's batteries are dead I'll need to go and get some tomorrow so that I can share with you what I created.

The stamp sets are fabulous. We only see a teeny tiny sampling (four) and the hostess sets, but I love them all - especially SOCK MONKEY!!! And, he's who I'm playing with next.

I knew I had to share some of the new stuff with you...you needed a sneak peek too. But, I promise, stay tuned and you may see some stuff as soon as tomorrow!!!

WOW! Vacation was great but......I missed my Stampin' Time..

So with out further delays I'll be finishing up my Tutorial on the Stand Up Album and to top off a great vacation WHEN I ARRIVED HOME IT WAS WAITING FOR ME ......YES! :) My pre-ordered had arrived. A few minor back ordered items....that will not stop me from getting to it. I have non-convention goers Swap and Open House projects to get done with my NEW Stuff... So check back I'll post as soon as I finish each project.

Flip Flop Flip Up!

Not sure what these are called but Nikki was going to try and figure out how to make them. Yesterday before we left for some July 4th Celebrations with friends I took time out and WOW! I did it. I took these pictures. I'll be posting a tutorial soon. My daughter is going to help me put it on Power Point and convert it for my blog. It's sad when my 12 year old is showing me but, after all the frustration with the Legal Pad one I welcome any help.Here is a Sneak Peak it's not decorated yet just basic.

Lunch Bag Purse

Had a great day stampin' with Audrey, Nikki and Jackie last Friday. The time went by to fast. Nikki had a Make-an-Take for us, this cute little Lunch Bag Purse, you can find it on Beate's Blog. They are quick and easy to do and make a cute gift.

Frustrated today!!

I worked very hard to get the Tutorial below to look just right...I'm leaving it as is until I can figure out how to do this the easy way. I had the pictures all lined up it looked great on the preview then I post it and it all changes. I think you will be able to follow it just fine, so I'm leaving it up. For my fellow SUDOL stampers It will be posted in a word document for you.

Small Legal Pad Holder with Pockets

I have some cleaning to do today but, I just don't feel like it! I know many of you fellow stamper can relate.....I decided to upload what I have been working on. This was shown to us at an SU event hosted by Ann Lightner a few levels above me by a
talented lady named Karen Faber. Here is my tutorial hope you like it!!

Supplies:
12 x 12 Black Cardstock
Designer Series Paper
Small legal pad 5 x 8
Paper cutter with scoring blade or Scor-pal
Sticky Strip
Bone Folder
Crop-A-Dile
Corner Rounder
Embellishments: as desired
Jumbo Eyelets, Ribbon & Chip Board


1. Start with your 12 x 12 piece of Cardstock and score at 3-1/2" from one end.


2. Turn your Cardstock 90 degrees, and score at 1/2" and 5-7/8" from each side. This will give an approximate 1/4" spine. (you are scoring on both left and right sides (4) scores in all {1/2" & 5-7/8" from each end}

(If you prefer a thicker spine, decrease the second score dimension. If you decrease to 5-3/4" this will produce a 1/2" spine.


Be sure to measure the thickness of your legal pad at the top thickest part. Also consider what you may be putting in the pocket.)








Note: when using Scor-pal to score for the 5-7/8" I move my paper to the right 1/4" and score at 6" then I flip the cardstock and do it again. LOVE my Scor-pal...


3. Use your bone folder on all score lines. This is important to give you crisp clean lines.







4. Hold Cardstock so that 3 1/2" scoreline is horizontal and towards the bottom and the other 4 score lines are vertical. Cut on score lines on bottom end of spine see picture. Cut away the section increase the width by 1/8" on each side. This will make sure the total cut out section width be 3-1/2" high by 1/2" wide. (If you have increased the spine size, this will increase to 3/4".)










5. Use round corner punch to round the corner of the piece that will create you pockets. Just looks better. I like to use the retired SU punch I like the larger curve. Either one will do the job.




6. If you are planning to stamp on the over now is the time to do it. I prefer to decorate as you can see in all the samples that I have posted.

7. Using STICKY STRIP apply to the inside of sections A and adhere. Apply STICK STRIP to sections C to the inside front, adhere. NOTE: use bone folder to achieve the crisp folds.
























When decorating don't forget to add a piece of Designer Series Paper to the top of the note pad. In this photo I placed a piece of white paper so that you can see step #5 where the corner rounder was used.

RED, BLACK and VANILLA

Red, Black and Vanilla this was put together with scraps on my table from other projects. I was cleaning up "wink" and the "light bulb" went "OFF" I can put these pieces on one of my Note Pad Books. This is what evolved.

Another Small Note Pad Holder!!

I love this one using the In-Colors of 2007-08; Wild Wasabi Textured 12 x 12 Cardstock and Groovy Guava Prints Designer Series Papers; strips of four different designs placed side by side. A close up of the embellishment: Build a Brad, 5-Petal Flower punched once and then twice. (The how to is on the Tutorial) On Board Simon Lower covered it with Wild Wasabi ink and tied Wild Wasabi and Groovy Guava Double Stitched Ribbon and Jumbo Eyelets.

I have been playing around with these Legal Pad Holders this past week; gotten carried away. I should have my tutorial completed tomorrow and I'll post it. Karen Faber gets the credit for this cute Legal Pad idea. Again you will see Retired Designer Series Papers using them up but the Idea is Fresh and New! When I post the tutorial you can link back to me and share what you have done.

I still have not found out what the name of this DSP is but I loved it when I bought it and I still do. I did not take any pictures of the inside you will see them tomorrow. A little close up of the Flower to inspire you. Below you can see this one also matches with the Bag in a Box by Paula Goff.
