Some Christmas Stocking Stuffers

I had a few clear Pillow Boxes left over and thought I'd try and put them together to make larger ones. It works take a look below. I used Designer Series Papers to cover over where they overlap.

I made these to put into the kids stockings in place of buying the candy cane ones I buy every year. I'm using up old DSP, Ribbon and retired stamp sets. I don't sell all my retired set I hang on to the ones that I like, or that I can use with my punches. I have every punch.....

The first ones are filled with M&M's a big time favorite around here and the Reindeer Poop's are filled with Whoppers. The Poop's are going to Dad and older brother so I have been told by my little Helper Elves..... Everyone will also get a bag of Reindeer Food to sprinkle out in the yard.




Our weather today is gloom and rainy 47 degrees no snow this year for Christmas Eve. I hope everyone has a happy fun filled Merry Christmas.

Connie's Gifts from her Secret Elf!

From the previous post you all know that I was Connie's Secret Elf. One of the gifts I gave her was a can of Cashew's I couldn't give her the Planter's can with out a little something added. So this is what I did in a matter of minutes as that was all the time I had before heading out the door to work that morning.

Nothing like waiting until the last second....to my advantage the paper and glitter were all ready out on my work table and I had an idea in my head. Here it is!!







I think when she got this one it was not hard to guess who her Secret Elf was. We had so much fun doing this I hope we do it again next year.

"Secret Elf" has been revealed......!!!

At school this year we did the the "Secret Elf" with staff members that wanted to participate. I got Connie our Principal. Yea, the pressure was on.....but, I had to be careful not to give myself away. For those like me that had never done this before here's the week in review. Maybe you could try this next year.

Monday - Something that Smells (candle, perfume, lotion)
Tuesday - Something you can touch (gloves, socks, jewelry)
Wednesday - Something you can hear (bells, whistle, CD)
Thursday - Something you can taste (chocolate, candy, cookies, fruit)
Friday - Something you can see (something they collect or enjoy)

We answers the questions above and they were given to your "Secret Elf" to assist them through the week. It was fun to get something every morning and try to figure out Who's your "Secret Elf". We all got to know each other a little better, today our "Secret Elves" were revealed. Connie started and she took a guess at to who was her Secret Elf for the week. She guessed me then it was my turn I had know idea it turned out to be Lynn she never let on all week.

On to the stamping.....Below you will see one of my M&M candy pillow boxes. The box is made with Acetate and the Stampin' Up! pillow box die for the Big Shot. Pillow Box #113466 $19.95

I tied SU Real Red Grosgrain 5/8" Ribbon around it and tied a bow. And I did not stop there, I added a little book with the Poem about the M&M's as how they relate to Christmas. I embossed with Sliver the star and peace. (stamp from a retired Hostess set Perfect Presentation)
For those of you that would like the poem here it is below:

As you hold these candies in your hand,
and turn then, you will see.....
The M becomes a W, an E and then a 3.

They tell the Christmas Story.
It's one I'm sure you know.
It took place in a stable a long, long, time ago.

The E is for the East,
where the star shone so bright.
The M is for the Manger,
where Baby Jesus slept that night.
The 3 is for the wise men,
Bearing gifts, they say they came.

W is for Worship, Hallelujah, praise His name.
So as you eat these candies,
or share them with your friends,
remember the meaning of Christmas.

It's a love story that never ends.

Tip your hat to......Snowman Soup!

I've been so busy today I almost forgot to post. I could not wait to share with you.....this is the best yet! Snowman Soup that I have seen, Nikki my so creative downline made these for The Extreme Home Party booth. They were a hit and she did a great job. Isn't he just soooo cute and the bag inside is full of the goodies. The main thing you need to create this cute little guy is the Big Shot and SU exclusive TOP NOTE DIE. He does look better in real life. I tired to get a good picture .... not that I'm great at it, I did my best.

Full Size Magazine Holder and Cards

WOW! now onto the bigger size, that may be wrong to start out with because you will see this post first. What the hay, scroll on down to see the MINI if you like what you see here. Again, I used the Baroque Motifs Stamp set: Pink Pirouette Textured for the Magazine Holder, it's not as sturdy as our card stock but I wanted the LINEN "textured" look for the project. It helps the Pink Pirouette stand out. On the bottom a piece of Bella Rose DSP (one of my Fav's) and added Old Olive 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon.
I made two full size cards and put two of each in the Magazine Holder. This one I love because of the pearls from the Prettiest Kit. {do you ever buy accessories (other than ribbon) and horde them?} I have had my Prettiest Kit for a long time and I never use it, this card needed a WOW factor. Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss Card Stock and a piece of Bella Rose DSP as the mat under the other two on the front of the card. Used ribbon down the side imagine that! :)
This card is a little different the Color gives it the WOW! It's Kiwi Kiss for the card and a strip of Old Olive between the two pieces of "Bella Rose DSP" I used the Scallop Punch and the NEW Large Oval where I stamped Cherish on the piece of Whisper White. Yep! there's that Ribbon again.

Mini Magazine Holder and Cards

First, this is my MINI Magazine Holder, it's for Note Cards I made 4 the same: One of my favorite Designer Series Paper this time around is.....Bella Rose, Pink Pirouette Card Stock for the magazine holder, Kiwi Kiss Textured Card Stock for the cards and regular Card Stock for the layering under Whisper White, Pink Pirouette Classic Ink and a Silver Brad in the middle of the image and I sponged around the edges to finish it I had to have Ribbon my weakness....Oh my I forgot the stamp set is Baroque Motifs. Another one of my favorites.....
Here is a close up of the front of the box with notes; I did this on my computer using the SU Font CD and punched out with the small oval punch. Comment on the Ribbons is needed I started with Pink Pirouette 5/8" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and then added the Old Olive Twill that's retired. (I have no earthly reason why this discontinued this ribbon I loved the Chocolate Chip and Old Olive). No further explanation needed Hope you like it. This is going to be featured next month at my STAMP CAMP....no Twill Ribbon though and I'll have a complete tutorial on my blog for it. So you will have to come back..... :) Gotcha!
